Hansel cursed, looking around him. This place was strange, dark and wooden. The sky was skewed with black and red streaks, the tree’s gnarled and twisted. He hadn’t seen any people, and it was throwing him off. He hitched his pack up higher on back, making sure his gun was strapped in firmly, but easily reachable. He was on his own, Gretel and Benjamin had gone on a small hunt...
